ENGAGE Implementation Grant

In July 2013, Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) in partnership with the Ohio Family and Children First received the 4 Year System of Care Expansion Implementation Grant from SAMHSA to expand system of care statewide for youth and young adults, ages 14 through 21.  The original plan was revised in December 2013 after stakeholder input revealed the original ENGAGE plan presented many barriers and challenges with statewide implementation.

ENGAGE will now focus on expanding Wraparound statewide for youth and young adults over the next four years (through June 2017).  ENGAGE has selected its 1st Cohort of Communities to began High Fidelity Wraparound implementation.  Below are resources about ENGAGE and Wraparound.

ENGAGE Planning Grant

In September 2011, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) received a one year System of Care Expansion Planning Grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).  The planning grant called ENGAGE (Empowering the New Generation to Achieve their Goals through Empowerment) focused on expanding the System of Care framework and philosophy statewide for youth and young adults, ages 14-21, with mental health conditions, co-occurring disorders, and multi-system needs.

The final ENGAGE plan was submitted to SAMHSA in September 2012.
